WEEKLY RIDES

All are welcome on weekly rides. Check Facebook for details about weekly routes and contact the ride leader to determine if the ride is the right level for your ability. Check for seasonal start times and also make sure of the ride schedule in the winter. Some rides go in summer only, many go all year round!

BVC Weekly Club Rides

BVC rides are led by BVC Club Ride Leaders, are sponsored and insured by the club, and are open to everyone to check out the ride. We ask after riding your first ride that you decide whether you’d like to continue riding with the club and if so, please join! See Our Membership Page for more about BVC membership.

There are many more group rides in spring/summer/fall. Over winter we have fewer rides but we encourage everyone to put on your cold weather gear and get out to ride! Starting in March and April, the spring and summer rides begin appearing back on the schedule.

Club members are covered by League of American Bicyclist’s liability policy, carried by the BVC.

Special Event Rides

The DD2tB is a single day double century cycling challenge from the center of the Triad region to the NC coast. The Double Down 2 the Beach is a fundraiser ride brought to you by the Burlington Velo Club. All proceeds of the ride go towards college scholarships for graduating high school seniors in our area.

BVCentury Ride Series

There is something special about being able to say that you have completed a century ride. The BVCentury Ride Series is designed to help riders obtain their goal of riding 100 miles in a single day. The ride series starts in May with low mileage routes designed to help build up strength, endurance, and confidence on the bike. Each week miles are added until we reach the 100-mile goal.
